21 février 1747 (1) : Clairaut à la Royal Society :
We the underwritten foreign members of the Royal Society of London, do hereby certify that abbé John Bernard Le Blanc is very worthy of the honer he aspires to, of being admitted a Fellow of the said Society. He has by his works given proof of his abilities, and it is with pleasure that we joyn our particular testimony, of the general esteem he has deserved from the public.
At Paris this 21st of February 1747
